Concrete Chaos

September - December 2023

Magazine and fabric book (in full) found here

One of the main aspects of fashion that initially intrigued me was its nature of personalization and experimentation. Some of my first interests in this field were tie dyeing, altering or repairing clothes and observing certain elements of grunge fashion. Through these methods to make the things I wore more unique, I found a way to express my individuality, and began to gain an interest in fashion overall.

Currently, I am trying to move away from these craftier elements which first inspired me, in order to better learn how to create more refined garments - perfecting the patterns, focusing on the fit and understand what materials work best. However, this shirt alludes to my very first interests in the field of fashion.

The fabric book attached to this campaign is a collection of material samples which I made. In it, I represent the contrast and gradual combination of the harshness of a concrete city and softness of undisturbed nature. I relate this to my journey with fashion.
