Aevum
September - December 2024
Arianna Adamopoulos’s Aevum dissects her research into the theory of mortality salience into the contradiction between restriction and liberation. Interested in the blaring opposition of the inevitability of death and human need to tamper with life, Arianna approaches this topic in a simple way, so as to allow deeper exploration into it. This duality seeps its way into most people’s lives, usually unknowingly; resilience becomes a tool to shape the way we face life despite the perpetual reminder of our ephemerality.

SHOWROOM DISPLAY
On December 10th, 2024, I collaborated with my class to create an exhibition showcasing our work at Directiekade 15, Rotterdam, Netherlands. I constructed a tent-like structure, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in my project. I chose to display my garments on a rack, inviting viewers to observe the inner construction of my clothing. Along with my physical garments, I also displayed my research book, posters from my photoshoot and promotional video.
