Why give the rich women of New York City an item which they will rarely use? The apron I based my design off of is completely functional; however, the setting in which it is seen has no use for it. I transformed this typical, functional apron into a garment that is more suitable for the Manhattan-wife lifestyle and meant to be appreciated as more of a glamorous artifact than a useful tool for the kitchen. I quilted the fabric in order for it to resemble the ripples of wood.
